The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians Tribal Preschool has been in operation since 2001. We are located on the Soboba Indian Reservation at 23904 1/2 Soboba Road in the city of San Jacinto. In December 2014, we were blessed with a new building which we use today and share with other Soboba Youth Services.
We have 4 classrooms within our 3000sq ft. building. Each classroom is equipped with quality programming, age appropriate educational supplies and computer technology. We serve children between the ages of 2yrs, 9mos through Kindergarten.
We provide a quality preschool educational program for Native American children. Our curriculum is designed to enhance social, intellectual, physical and emotional growth. Our philosophy is to provide a learning environment where children may explore, question and create without the fear of failure or criticism from adults or peers.
Our classrooms provide daily learning experiences in Math, Language, Art, Science, Computer Technology, Social Development and culture. Our small group settings allow the teachers to work individually with each child as they prepare for Kindergarten.
The teachers will provide experiences that will enable the children to learn about and appreciate their Native history and culture, to be proud of themselves, their ancestry, their language and their community. Luiseño language instruction is implemented on a daily basis through songs, fingerplays, stories & dance.
We believe in an "open door" policy and allow parents and Guardians to visit the center at any time. However, due to COVID restrictions we are strongly limiting access to the center at the moment. We encourage participation through our online resources, telephone, and email. Thank you for you understanding at this time.
